Teaching strategy by Maria Ortega.

Maria  created this activity for her group of secondary students. Students were aimed to write an essay in order to improve their literacy skills and use higher order thinking abilities and problem-solving.  Maria showed her students how to make an essay; she wanted them to correctly use verbal tenses and some other grammatical terms. She gave them a guide activity which contained all the specifications for doing the activity as well as the learning sources required for writing the essay. She introduced a topic which students already known, she created a video lecture and also an evaluation rubric so that students can know the activity criteria.  She also provided an essay template.
